The Blue Mountains in New South Wales
More than three million people come to Blue Mountains National Park every year. For many, it's enough just to find a lookout and gaze across the park's chiselled sandstone outcrops and blue forests. Walk or cycle along the cliff-tops and in the valleys, through paths that were created for Victorian era honeymooners, or discovered by Aboriginal hunters many thousands of years ago. Over 140 km of walking tracks in a diverse setting make the Blue Mountains a bushwalker's haven.
This park, which is part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, protects an unusually diverse range of vegetation communities. There are isolated animal populations and rare ancient plants and tucked away in its deep gorges. This a spectacular holiday haven.

Canberra - Australia's capital city
You are on Ngunnawal land - Canberra
For 21,000 years the Canberra region has been home to the Ngunnawal people. Evidence of their long occupation exists in archeological evidence found at Birrigai Rock Shelter at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, in rock paintings in Namadgi National Park and in other places throughout the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). When Europeans settled the area in the early 1820s hundreds of Aboriginals lived in the area, meeting regularly for corroborees and feasts and then breaking off into smaller bands.
